Skills Training in Creating Plain Language Printed and Web-based Materials

In these 2 to 3 day intensive workshops you’ll learn all the basics of plain language materials development:

planning
writing
designing
field testing

We customize each program, using materials from your organization to design learning exercises. And, we use a variety of active teaching styles to engage participants and accommodate different learning needs. These workshops cover the topics presented in our National Institutes.

Introduction to Health Literacy/Plain Language for Managers

Need to get your CEO or managers on board with plain language or offer them a preview of longer workshops? We can tailor a brief, fast-paced, executive session to meet your organizational needs.

Introduction to Health Literacy/Plain Language for Front-line Staff

This half or whole day training covers the basics of health literacy, including:

Review of research findings about adult literacy skills and the reading levels of health information
