For over 25 years, Wilma Alvarado-Little has been a strong voice advocating for linguistically and culturally appropriate health services. She is a healthcare interpreter and trainer who is a member of the National Project Advisory Committee for the Review of the CLAS Standards and the Institute of Medicine Health Literacy Roundtable. Participants in the Forum will explore the value added when integrating evidence-based health literacy and cultural competency interventions and the need for a common agenda.
